Engage Kneehill County’s past, collected in three buildings. The Station House, built in 1919, is the last surviving CN station of its pattern, home to the station master and family. Climb into the caboose, spartan home to the conductor, Think about what it was like gathering in a Ghost Pine community home, listening to the first radio, a hand-built wedding present, or, mentally ride with the doctors as they make their rural rounds in Model T’s mounted on the big iron skis on display in the Main Building. Find the little Fordson tractor, ‘The Widow Maker’, in the Agriculture Building. Ask the friendly staff taking you on the tour to tell you why the tractor is called that. Learn about bees and hatching chicks while you are there. Imagine ringing the neighbours on the fence-line telephone. Research local history and find locations on County maps. There are hours of memories and things to learn tucked away in Kneehill Museum.
After the museum tour, enjoy fine food at local restaurants, swim at the Aquatic Centre, golf at the Old Town Site, and stay overnight at a great hotel so you have time to see the stars from the top of the Three Hills.
